Darrell Collins (RPSGT)
Mr. Collins, after serving eight years in the Military as Communications specialist, Darrell began his career in health care as a Nationally Registered Paramedic. During his tenure as a Paramedic, he was a Lead Supervisor, Training Coordinator, Q.A. Office Director as well as holding instructor credentials and consulting across the United States and Oklahoma as a BCLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, 12 Lead EKG Instructor. During that time he served on a panel for the early detection of myocardial infarction and pre-hospital administration of a National Thrombolytic Study.
Darrell began his career in sleep medicine in 2007 with Great Plains Sleep Specialists as partner/manager/director of multiple sleep centers across Oklahoma.
He became the CEO, 2009, and has assisted in the set up several sleep disorder centers, worked closely with several board-certified sleep specialist physicians in establishing policies, procedures and protocols as well as budgetary and technical oversight.
Darrell serves as President of the Board for Cultivate Hope International. He is an avid fisherman and BASS member, his other memberships include AASM, AAST, and AHA. Darrell is married to his beautiful wife Carrie and has a wonderful daughter Macy.
Rick Ellis (RPSGT)
Exec. Vice President
Mr. Ellis obtained his Master of Science degree in Child and Youth Care Administration from NOVA University (now NOVA Southeastern University) in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in 1992, with extensive training in early childhood development and business administration.
Following a twenty year distinguished career in the residential childcare industry, he undertook a mid-life career change into the field of Emergency Medical Services, serving on both air and ground advanced life support medical units as a Lead Paramedic and also training other medical personnel in the emergency field.
His tenure in sleep disorders began with Breathewell Sleep Labs in 2005, forming Great Plains Sleep Specialists with two partners in 2007.
He obtained his RPSGT from BRPT in 2007 and RST from the American Board of Sleep Medicine in 2012. He also became a certificated Clinical Sleep Educator through BRPT in 2012.
He is committed to improving the quality of life for people suffering from sleep disorders.
Billy Burt (BS, RPSGT)
Mr. Burt graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science in 2011. He began working for Great Plains Sleep Specialists as a sleep technician immediately after graduation. Billy obtained his RPSGT from the BRPT in 2013. He has been instrumental in the startup of many sleep centers across Oklahoma and Texas. He has been a partner with Great Plains Sleep Specialists since 2015. Billy is a member of the AAST, AASM and Southern Sleep Society.
Darren Cagle (RPSGT)
Exec. Vice President
Mr. Cagel has owned various successful businesses throughout Oklahoma. Since 1997, he has focused a great deal of his attention to caring for those with sleep disorders. Darren has served as manager/director several sleep disorders centers across Oklahoma. Darren obtained his RPSGT from the BRPT in 2004 and serves as Exec. Vice President on the Board of Directors for Great Plains Sleep Specialists.
