Our Story

Great Plains Sleep Specialists, Inc. was established in 2008. Founded by board executives Darren Cagle, Darrell Collins, and Rick Ellis. Darren Cagle started his profession in Sleep Medicine in 1997 and has since served as a manager and director of several sleep centers across Oklahoma. He has helped develop most of the foundations in our company. Darren is an active member on the Board of Directors. Darrell Collins began his career in Sleep Medicine in 2007. He became the CEO for Great Plains Sleep Specialists in 2009. Throughout the years, he has established policies, procedures, protocols, and continued education. Currently, Darrell is the CEO of Great Plains Sleep Specialists and President on the Board of Directors. Rick Ellis initiated his Sleep Medicine occupation in 2005. He has assisted in clinical operations, development, and education during his time with GPSS. Rick is an active member on the Board of Directors and oversees management at some of our facilities. Actively, Great Plains Sleep Specialists has nine sleep labs across Oklahoma. Our sleep labs are located in the following facilities: Alliance Health Clinton, Alliance Health Ponca City, Alliance Health Seminole, Alliance Health Woodward, Northeastern Health Systems Sallisaw, Northeastern Health Systems Tahlequah, Oklahoma State University Medical Center, Southwestern Medical Center, and Wagoner Community Hospital.
